Aaaahhh
Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe I actually get to meet some of my students tomorrow at Open House. I have been working all week getting my classroom ready, and I finally got it done today. I'm stressing a little because I need a good solid lesson plan for Friday. I really like everyone at my school so far, and I think it will be a productive and successful school year. I'm teaching all Spanish I classes this semester. I'm just so happy to be an Eastside Eagle.

Good luck, Shakita! The night before "the first day of school" can definitely be nerve-racking - the good news is that, in my experience, the students are usually still asleep on the first day - however that's also bad news because you have to do all the talking and the time might go by too fast. Be sure to drink plenty of water - you might have a sore throat from all that talking!
Shakita, You are going to be great! Don't forget to be firm and strict at the beginning with your classroom management. You can always ease up later. Buena suerte!
